Addison, Illinois - Diversified manufacturer JD Norman Industries, Inc. today announced that its wholly owned Mexican subsidiary, JD Norman de Mexico, S. de R.L. de C.V., has launched a new manufacturing facility in Monterrey, Mexico.

The plant is located in the Sabinal Industrial Park in Apodaca, a municipality bordering Monterrey.  The facility is 50,000 square feet in size with expansion capabilities for a total plant size of 100,000 square feet.  The Company will be consolidating its current Monterrey facility into the new plant by the end of 2011.

The launch of the new plant in Mexico is a continuation of JD Norman’s strategy of placing facilities in proximities close to customers.  Since the launch of JD Norman’s Mexico operation in 2008, the Company has seen a strong response from current and prospective customers.

JD Norman’s immediate focus will be to build out a complete tool and die operation to support the manufacturing operations of the plant as well as placing new presses ranging up to 1000 tons.  This equipment will be in addition to the presses and assembly operations moving from the current plant.  Over time, the plant’s manufacturing technology will evolve to meet the demands from our customer base.
